WE ARE ALWAYS INTERESTED IN NEW MEMBERS

To be qualified for membership, you must meet the following requirements:

1.) You must reside within the Macedon Center fire protection district.

2.) You must be at least 18 years of age.

WE WANT YOU, whether you are male or female, white collar worker, blue collar worker, homemaker, no matter what you do. Applications are available at the fire house, or by calling (315) 986-4736.

Types of Membership

There are two types of membership in our fire department.

ACTIVE membership is for those individuals who wish to participate as a firefighter, both interior or exterior. Active members have voting privileges.

SOCIAL membership is for those individuals who wish to participate in the social events only. These may include softball, lumberjack festival, picnics, or other social events that may be held. These members do not have voting privileges.

There is also a Ladies Auxiliary available for those who are interested.

Training

To be an active firefighter, you must complete the New York State Basic Firefighting class OR have completed the class equivalent with another fire department. This training class is available through the fire department.. We also have training available in specialized subjects such as auto extrication, pump operations, intermediate and advanced firefighting and many more.
